The 2,500-acre Capital Springs Recreation Area is home to an abundance of wildlife due to a variety of natural habitats. Contiguous wetlands, restored prairie, mixed oak woods, undisturbed lakeshore, creeks, and natural springs. Glacial footprints are evident with drumlins, marsh and erratic boulders.
